Each Blogger blog was to be the "updates" section to a particular part of my main website.
I mixed them all up on Xanga, much as I do to this day, with rotating "Electric Poetry" and "Photo" posts, observations, and insights.
The first time I got four comments from four different people was on July 9th, 2004. They were also "grownups", and through them I began to start meeting other older Xangans, who actually had blogs with some excellent content, instead of the angst ridden teens I had been visiting.
On July 29th, I got my first comment from Karolyn () (in another incarnation as princesskittypoo) became a friend and regular reader.
I'm not mentioning the Xangans who have shut down their sites, but do want to pay lip service to one Xangan I met early on who was a great inspiration for a long time. Lynx was encouraging and always wrote me long thoughtful comments, but she deleted all the comments I had written her on her blog after I met and started seeing Liz ).He doesn't read me regularly, and so I don't visit him as often as I'd like, but I've always found his blog, with it's humorous forays into televsion production and essays about and interviews with some obscure but important muscians to be a good read at any time.On March 20th, 2005, I wrote the first chapter of "My Sexual History", the longest ongoing serial novel here on my blog. Jurgens lives in Cape Town, South Africa, and is a "warrior wizard" who writes about life and spirituality and the connection between them, and Bob is a scrabble enthusiast and sports nut with a political bent.(She is currently on hiatus, but I'm sure will be back soon) She not only read my then few archived blog entries, but clicked the header with the link for my main website All Things Mike and went exploring. This is what I most enjoy, when someone understands that my blog is only the tip of the iceberg of my internet "universe." I'd had All Things Mike online for five years by then, but guestbooks and email were the only way I received feedback for my "art and literature".
