Back to Top A separate CSOS Signing Certificate is required for each DEA Registrant number.In cases where a person represents multiple Registrants or DEA Registrant numbers, then multiple Certificates will be issued.Each CSOS Coordinator will be approved by DEA to fulfill the role of Coordinator for each location, but will be issued only one CSOS Administrative Certificate.

A CSOS Coordinator is required for each organization as the main point of contact for CSOS.
The CSOS Coordinator must be enrolled in CSOS before any Power of Attorney application is processed, however, the Coordinator and POA applications may be submitted at the same time.

The CSOS Certification Authority (CSOS CA) is operated by DEA and issues CSOS Certificates to approved DEA Registrants and Power of Attorneys.
